The Natives Culture of two small Solomon islands; Owa Raha and Owa Riki.
After being discovered in 1568 by the Spaniard Alvaro de Mendana, the two islands were visited by another famous voyager, Francisco Nunez , abord the Brigantine.
The Spaniard gave the name Santa Catalina to Owa Riki and Santa Anna to Owa Raha.
Following the short visits by this two Spanish explorers , both islands were left untouched and forgotten for the next 200 years and its only between 1767-1769 that they were again discovered by the French explorers Carteret, Bougainville and Surville.
